Daesung Park received his Ph.D. in condensed matter physics at University of Warwick in 2015 and did postdoctoral research at ZIK SiLi-nano institute in Germany (2016 – 2018) and at EPFL in Switzerland (2018 – 2022). Presently, he is an assistant professor in Department of Energy Conversion and Storage (DTU Energy) at Technical University of Denmark, Denmark. His current research interest and focus are the development of new bio-compatible energy conversion oxide materials including emergent piezoelectrics, pyroelectrics, and ferroelectrics with fundamental understandings. His research expertise includes functional complex oxides, thin film growth, atomic defect engineering, interface engineering, magnetism, and electromechanical coupling.
