Paulo Canelas de Castro is Coordinator of the Master’s Program in European Union, International, and Comparative Law at the University of Macau, where he also conducts a Jean Monnet Action in EU Law. He is President of the Institute of European Studies of Macau, EUSA-Asia Pacific, and EUSA-Macau, and a Fellow of the University of Cambridge (Clare Hall). With extensive international teaching and legal consultancy experience—including roles before the International Court of Justice and the European Court of Justice—his research focuses on EU law, international law, and environmental, climate, energy, and water law. He has authored multiple books and articles and serves on editorial and scientific boards of leading law journals worldwide.
