Mehdi Seyedmahmoudian is a Professor at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, where he also serves as Director of the Siemens- Swinburne Energy Transition Hub and the New Energy Technologies (NET) Research Group. With expertise in signal processing, renewable energy, and electrical engineering, he has held several leadership roles, including Director of Research at the School of Software and Electrical Engineering. He previously worked at Deakin University as a Lecturer, Course Coordinator of Mechatronics Engineering, and Deputy Director of the CADET-VR Lab. Prof. Seyedmahmoudian earned his PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Deakin University, a Master’s in Industrial Electronics and Control from the University of Malaya, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IAU University. His research contributions span renewable energy systems, microgrids, optimization techniques, and intelligent control, with numerous publications on advanced power systems, wind energy optimization, and neural network applications.
