Biography

Arzu Kanca has been working as a Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, in Ataturk University. She completed her Ph. D. and M. Sc.in the Department of Chemical Engineering, from Middle East Technical University, Turkey.

Projects handled:

  1. Development of an environmentally friendly extraction combined BMED process for NaOH and H3BO3 production from tincal without using reactive and without forming liquid waste, Project No: 218M777, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), Project researcher, 2020-2022.
  2. Preparation of SBA-15 supported Ca-Fe, Ca-Cu, Ca-Zn, Ca-Mn, Fe-Cu, Fe-Mn, Zn-Mn binary oxides by microwave calcination and investigation of their hot gas desulfurization (H2S) ability, Project No: 118M603, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), Project manager, 2018-2020.
  3. Determination of pyrolysis and oxidation ability of vegetable based biomasses by using a semi-batch reactor system, Project No: 2016181, Scientific Research Projects (BAP), Project Manager, 2016-2018.
